** Cochrane defines ‘patients and the public’ as patients and potential patients, carers, people who use health and social care services, and people or organizations that represent these groups.
By registering using the patient and public registration fee you are attending the conference in that role — to share experiences and perspectives on behalf of patients and the public. This means you will not be attending primarily as a researcher, academic, or policymaker, for example.
People attending mainly in roles such as researcher, academic, policymaker, clinician, or health‑care practitioner cannot use the patient and public registration category.
During the registration process you will be asked to contact registration@cochrane.org to confirm that you are eligible for the Patients and the Public rate.
** Student registration is available to full-time students (undergraduate or postgraduate) only.
