Designing an Accessible Poster
When designing your poster, we recommend:
- Use large, easy-to-read text and figures.
- Keep content concise and avoid unnecessary clutter.
- Use plain language wherever possible.
- Create a clear and logical reading order.
- Use colours with good contrast.
- Ensure important information can be read comfortably from a reasonable distance.
- Consider providing additional accessible material, such as an online audio explanation accessible via a QR code and a human-readable link.
We encourage presenters to use the Cochrane #BetterPoster PowerPoint template, which has been developed to improve poster readability and accessibility.
Please also check whether your organisation has its own poster template or branding guidelines that you are required to follow.
