Evidence Synthesis Lead, Wellcome Trust

Isabel leads the Evidence Synthesis Programme at Wellcome, where she directs a portfolio of data science and AI investments addressing global health challenges. Her work centres on building digital infrastructure for health, advancing the responsible use of AI, and embedding the development and uptake of living evidence across health systems. She has led major initiatives spanning climate and health, digital tooling, and data integration. Prior to joining Wellcome, Isabel worked in academia studying the impacts of of climate variability and change on human health, contributing to IPCC assessment reports, and held roles at the WHO and WMO. She holds a PhD in statistical modelling from LSHTM.
